Tuesday 6/11/2019 (previously announced as Monday 6/10/2019) & Wednesday 6/12/2019 from 4-6PM in the band room. Attend one or both days!

The Marching Ensemble is much more that just a Parade Marching Band! This is an experience you will never forget. Last season we had a few seniors who joined the Ensemble for the first time and were rumored to have said they regretted not joining sooner!

We need Dancers for the Color Guard. No experience needed, just a passion for dance!
We need Precision Musician Marchers: brass, woodwind, percussion
We need to fill the stationary Front Ensemble (Pit): percussion, keyboard, guitar, etc… (ability to groove in place a big plus!)

For those interested in Marching (brass, woodwind, percussion), Color Guard & Pit (Percussion, keyboard, guitar, etc…), this will give you a chance to see if competitive marching & color guard (flag & dance) is for you.

Competitive Marching Ensemble (Marching Band):
Competitive marching bands are marching bands geared primarily towards crowd entertainment and perform on football fields. They typically perform one show per season that is repeated and continually refined over a 3 month period. These shows normally consists of three to five musical pieces accompanied by intricate, choreographed formations. The ensemble includes brass, woodwind, and percussion instruments with support from a stationary front ensemble (percussion, keyboard, and guitar) and a color guard that incorporates the spinning of flags, rifles and sabers with dance.

Open to musicians & dancers who will be attending

* Tualatin High School
* Twality Middle School (8th grade next year)
* Fowler Middle School (8th grade next year)
* Hazelbrook Middle School (8th grade next year)
* Advanced 7th graders (next year) from any of those middle schools, with their band director’s recommendation
